Send Your Prayers to Rachel's Tomb

Rachel was the wife of Jacob, and the mother of Joseph and Benjamin. She was so beloved by Jacob, he worked for her father for fourteen years to acquire her as a bride.

She had difficulty conceiving children for part of her life, and passed away giving birth to her second son, Benjamin. Unlike the other patriarchs and matriarchs of Israel, she was not buried in the Cave of the Patriarchs. Instead, the Torah records she was buried just outside of Bethlehem.

Rachel’s Tomb has been a site of Divine Worship since ancient times. In our days, tens of thousands travel to her burial site every year to pay respect and pray at her holy grave.
